⚡Points of the problem faced by the customer⚡

(1) The customer’s production line consisted of single-spindle lathes and a robot, requiring a very large floor space and resulting in low productivity relative to the required space.

(2) For expanding equipment in the future, the customer was reviewing the conventional production line to make more effective use of floor space.

📝Proposals

-The previous production line was automated with two units of horizontal single-spindle lathes and a single unit of robot.

However, this configuration required a large floor space for installation of the robot and two horizontal single-spindle lathes.

Furthermore, with the additional maintenance space taken into account, the per-area productivity would become even lower.

To solve this problem, Muratec proposed the MW series Twin-Spindle Turning Machine.

It has achieved significant space savings, resulting in approximately doubling the per-unit-area productivity.
